There was a time when the 1000-pound sisters worried Tammy Slaton’s family was planning her funeral. And in a preview ahead of TLC’s Jan. 31 episode, the family will attend the funeral.

Tammy attends the service remotely on her iPad, so we know this isn’t her funeral. But she gets emotional, and Amy Slaton complains that Tammy isn’t “acting right” when asked to say a few words. Not something to do, but fans have a pretty good idea of what’s going on.

Who Died in ‘1000-Lb Sisters’ Season 4?
If there was a big death in the Slaton family, fans would have heard about it before the Season 4 premiere. The dog, which Amy shared with fans on Instagram, was 22 at the time of her death and passed away in April 2022.
This coincides with when season 4 was filmed, which coincides with Amy’s pregnancy timeline. Now on the show she is 4 months old. Amy was about three months away from her due date when Little Bit died. The Jan. 31 episode is a few weeks ahead in terms of the show’s timeline, with Amy losing her dog and she likely holding a funeral for him.

Is Tammy Slaton still in rehab?
Before the fourth season premiered, viewers learned that Tammy married Caleb Willingham, whom she met while in rehab in Ohio. , he also has a tracheostomy tube in his neck. They even got married at the same facility where they met. And in Season 4, viewers will see their story unfold.

Now that filming is over, Tammy is still in rehab. According to The Sun, Tammy was approved for bariatric surgery and underwent surgery, but she had to return to a rehab facility to recover. That means she and her new husband haven’t finally settled down together yet.
In January 2023, Tammy told People, “I literally married my best friend,” sharing that she and Caleb have had a system of supporting each other.
And regardless of where her story goes in season 4, at least fans can take comfort in knowing that the 1000-pound sister’s death likely has nothing to do with immediate human beings.
