Murder of a society
“Whoever murder one with whom a covenant has been made, burdens him with more than he can bear or forcibly takes something from him, I will be his adversary on the Day of Judgment,” [Recorded by Abu Dawud in his Sunan, Ibn Zangawiyah in Al-Amwal and al-Baihaqi in As-Sunan Al-Kubra]
Yet another tragic day in history, another murder, another barbaric act after the incident of late Noor Muqaddam.
The News reported that a man transported his wife’s body in a rented rickshaw along with her minor daughter after torturing his wife to death over a domestic dispute in Lahore on Wednesday.
According to the details provided:
The publication said the suspect, Nisar, murdered his wife, Anjum, in the limits of Harbanspura police station, adding that they were married 15 years ago.
The couple had a 10-year-old daughter and had been living in TauheedPark. The publication reported that their relationship had soured for quite some time, and the couple would often quarrel with each other.
The suspect tortured the victim to death on the day of the incident. The suspect afterward packed the body and hired a rickshaw to transport it to his in-laws along with his daughter.
CCPO Lahore Fayyaz Ahmad Dev has also taken notice of the incident. However, as human beings, we plead to the government to take severe actions against such crimes to eliminate this torture and provide everyone with a safe space.
Moreover, we request parents to kindly take notice of their children and help them get therapy if needed; marriage is not the solution.
It is the Islamic Republic that follows Islamic law. As per Islamic Law:
“Whoever killed a Mu’ahid (a person who is granted the pledge of protection by the Muslims) shall not smell the fragrance of Paradise though its fragrance can be smelt at a distance of forty years (of traveling).”
