She may have been most famous as the daughter of the legendary Elvis Presley, but Lisa Marie Presley was also involved with one of the biggest stars in music history, Michael Jackson. That’s right, the daughters of the “King of Pop” and “King of Rock and Roll” were actually romantically involved.

The clash between Neverland and Graceland shocked the music world, and the relationship between Lisa Marie and Michael blossomed. Even though Lisa was married when the two met in 1993, Michael still tried to shoot Elvis’ daughter.
In his book Michael Jackson: The Magic, The Madness, The Whole Story, J. Randy Taraborrelli describes how the creators of “Smooth Criminal” approached Lisa Marie.

“Michael appreciated the resolving effect Lisa had on him, so during the phone conversation, he asked a question that surprised both of us,” the author shared, adding that Michael asked Lisa, “I If asked you to marry me, would you do it?’… Without missing a beat, she replied, ‘I will.’ ”
Things moved quickly between Michael and Lisa Marie after that, and according to J. Randy’s book, the duo met in a brief 15-minute ceremony on May 26, 1994 in La Vega, Dominican Republic. Apparently, Michael said, “His mother wasn’t in attendance so it was empty,” but if information about the ceremony spread, “the press would have screwed it up.” Already knew.

In the next phase of their relationship, the two traveled through Europe together, stopping in Budapest and France, where Michael recorded some of the most famous videos of his HIStory album era.
At the 1994 VMAs, Michael specifically brought Lisa Marie on stage and kissed her, declaring that “no one thought this would last” regarding their relationship. He was reportedly embarrassed by his public displays of affection.
Shortly thereafter, cracks began to appear in their relationship. In a 1995 interview with Diane Sawyer, the rapporteur asked the couple to clarify rumors that they were not sexually active. Told. “Yes yes yes!” He also said that he wanted children.
But it didn’t seem to last long. On December 10, 1995, Michael and Lisa and her Marie split. Their divorce was finalized on August 20, 1996.
