No spoilers to say that Fox’s 9-1-1: Lone Star kicks off Season 4 in a big way. Viewers are Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s first responders because he knows drama always does the biggest thing possible. However, the biggest news in his season premiere on January 24 isn’t the massive disaster 126 has to deal with. This is amazing casting news.

After some early cancellation fears, 9-1-1: Lone Star is returning with some new characters to keep things interesting. As we did, it’s a guy named Trevor who crosses paths with Tommy Vega during the Season 4 premiere.
As creative as this show is in how Trevor comes into being (more on that later), it’s who plays him that really captivates viewers. Here’s what we know:

DB Woodside, who played Trevor in 9-1-1: Lone Star, opposite Gina Torres in Suits.
9-1-1: The Lone Star season 4 premiere is titled ‘The New Hotness’ and it’s clear that sparks will fly. That’s especially true for Tommy when he meets Trevor, portrayed by one of actor Gina Torres’ most frequent co-stars.
D.B. Woodside first appeared opposite Torres in the unsold pilot The Law and Mr. Lee 20 years ago. However, audiences better remember the romantic arc in the US hit series Suits.
Woodside’s Suits character Jeff Malone began a romance with Torres’ managing partner Jessica Pearson in Season 4, and she hired him from the SEC. The two broke up after Jeff noticed and subsequently left the company.
Nonetheless, Woodside was still present in seasons 5–7. Jessica allegedly left New York and moved to Chicago to rekindle her romance with Jeff, so he was forced out of the Torres suit. was part of the exit of

Woodside then relapsed with a Torres suit spinoff called simply Pearson, which followed Jessica’s challenges in the world of law and politics in Chicago. That series lasted just one season.
The duo also starred in another Fox series fairly early in their careers, when it was revealed in Season 3 of 24 that Torres’ character Julia Milliken had been having an affair with Woodside’s Wayne Palmer.
However, their 9-1-1: Lone Star story is the weirdest actor story ever.

DB Woodside is also beloved by TV fans for his role as Amenadiel in “Lucifer.”
Woodside makes an insane introduction in 9-1-1: Lone Star. He called his 9-1-1 to report that it was literally raining frogs at the county fair as readers can see from his clip in the video above. Naturally, things only get worse from there.
However, as TVLine reports, Trevor has been described as a “charming single father,” which may make up for the utter turmoil in Tommy’s love life in Season 3.
However, frogs falling from the sky are nothing new for another Woodside fan-favorite character. After Suits, he starred in the incredibly popular series Lucifer. This first aired on Fox before picking up on Netflix for a few more seasons.
Woodside played Amenadiel, the angelic brother of Tom Ellis’ title character. He originally served as a stoic force to contrast all of the more bizarre and comedic happenings on the show, but Amenadiel later loosened up.
Right now, in 9-1-1: Lone Star, Woodside is literally in the midst of chaos. And viewers are much better off because they get to see him share the screen with Torres again.
9-1-1: Lone Star airs Tuesdays at 8 PM ET on Fox.
