HBO’s The Last of Us is now widely regarded as the wildly successful live-action adaptation of the critically acclaimed game, which was first released on PlayStation 3 in 2013. The story follows his Joel Miller (Pedro Pascal), a smuggler who is entrusted with escort. A young teenager named Ellie (Bella Ramsey) traverses an apocalyptic United States devastated by a giant fungal infection.

But those who’ve played the game before will find that Episode 3 takes creative liberties with Bill (Nick Offerman) while the show explores romance with another man. . This is new ground for The Last of Us, but is Bill gay in-game?

Is Bill gay in the original Last of Us game?
In the original The Last of Us, Bill (W. Earl Brown) is an isolated survivalist living in a small town. Geared up to paranoia, his safe home perimeter is rigged with several booby traps that Bill made himself.
Joel (Troy Baker) tries to get some favors from Bill by asking him to build a working car so he can travel west with Ellie (Ashley Johnson). He eventually agrees, provided Joel helps him get the parts he needs.
Finding a car and its parts around town, they discover the body of Bill’s former associate, Frank, who hanged himself after being infected. Bill is visibly troubled by his death and reveals to Joel that Frank lived with him before leaving on poor terms.

His sexuality was also confirmed by game director and series co-creator Neil Druckmann. In a 2014 interview with Gay Gamer, Neil revealed that he wanted Bill’s sexuality to be more openly incorporated into the game, but that it was left vague in the final product.
However, the game still drops a lot of hints. After Joel and Ellie take off in one of Bill’s trucks, Ellie rummages in her backseat and she discovers an old adult men’s magazine that Bill supposedly owned.
