Pakistanis have the audacity of blatantly rejecting the talent present in Pakistan and humiliating them and the idea of upbringing them in society.
Muhammad Ijaz is the son of Abdul Khaliq (late), also known as the bird of Asia (Parinda e Asia), who came from a small village of Chakwal to set a record in sprint racing and got this title from the Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. He dubbed him “the flying bird of Asia” upon winning the gold medal for 100m and a silver medal for the 4×100 rally race.
Like father, like son!
After their father, Muhammad Ijaz is on breaking records and eager to make a name like his father. He had been thinking of something unique in games to set an example in this entire world. While thinking of something, he thought of choosing a game that has been played and liked by our Holy Prophet (PBUH), ARCHERY.
A few times back, he gave a proposal to the Secretary of the archery federation for blind archery, upon which he got mocked for supporting and thinking about blind people- irony of our society.
A person on his own cannot do anything without any experience or strategies.
They all lie in the visual cortex category of V1 and V2.
Usually, the players use their eyesight to shoot the target, whereas these special players use a backhand sight to shoot their target. With the help of a stand (of their height), they are taught by setting their hand and legs on the marked areas to shoot the target accordingly.
I have posted about the motive of this splendid and ambitious Muhammad Ijaz Khaliq, who was motivated to promote and bring the blind archers to the front row. He did not give up on his dream and did what he wanted. Proceeding with his dream, he brought the blind archer named Tanveer Ahmed in front and made him win the competition that was held internationally.
training of Tanveer Ahmed
Pakistani Blind Archer Tanveer Ahmed participated in worldwide Archery competitions in 2020 under the splendid coaching of Muhammad Ejaz.
He participated in the competition held Worldwide, head 2 head Online Archery competition from 6-8 May 2020, in which the top 5 blind archers from the UK, USA, Australia, and Pakistan participated, and Tanveer Ahmed from Pakistan took 3rd position.
Proud moment, right? Yes, it is, for a person who is selflessly bringing up such a category of our society in front of us, who holds no place and people consider them useless.
Later on, the 6th of June 2020, he Participated in the Virtual Endeavour Games 2020 and Scored 227/360 and got 2nd place.
Special Thanks to my coach Muhammad Ijaz and District Sports Officer Rawalpindi, Mr. Shams Toheed Abbasi, for special arrangements at Sports Complex Rawalpindi for the event
He competed in 5, 16 & 17 in June and July 2020 and secured 2nd, 1st, and 1st place, respectively.
Seeing this achievement and gaining confidence in himself and his team, he trained a group of three people and applied for Italy International Online Archery Tournament. Where he got an Official Confirmation from the Italy International Online Archery Tournament “Never Give Up.”
Pakistan Blind Archery Clinched 2 Gold & 1 Silver Medal

His hard work paid off in the form of the second prize won by Tanveer Ahmed, a very proud moment for the son of the flying bird of Asia.
While quoting Iqbal’s verse, Muhammad Ijaz said,
“Future depends on the effort you put in, sometimes Allah lets you decide what you want and that is the time you need to put your force in to succeed or back out”.
